Native to parts of southern Texas and northern Mexico, Astrophytum asterias is a slow growing species that thrives in well draining soil and bright, indirect sunlight. In the right conditions, it may reward you with stunning daisy-like yellow flowers in late spring or summer.

Astrophytum asterias care:

This plant prefers a very well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering, taking care to not allow the plant to sit in excess water for an extended period at any point.  Provide your Astrophytum asterias with plenty of bright indirect light.  This plant can take quite a bit of morning/early afternoon direct light.
