Nephrolepis exaltata, also known Boston fern is an easy-care fern with large leaves.

Boston fern originates from the humid forests of the southern United States and South America. Its green leaves can grow up to 2.5 meters long, which makes the plant form dense and decorative tufts. The leaves tend to hang downwards as they grow larger, and the plant is therefore often grown in hanging baskets.

Botanical description.

This fern, often called the Boston Fern , is one of the best plants for purifying indoor air. According to NASA research, it can filter harmful substances like xylene, toluene, and formaldehyde from the air. It also helps increase the humidity in the room, making it especially beneficial for people who suffer from dry skin or dry mucous membranes. And as an added bonus – it’s completely safe for both cats and dogs!

Care instructions

Nephrolepis exaltata is perfect for rooms with limited sunlight. It is excellent for homes and offices with low light. Keep the soil slightly moist and place the plant in a location with as much humidity as possible and indirect light. It tolerates morning or evening sun best, as it requires high humidity.

The fern prefers temperatures between 18–24°C. It cannot withstand extreme heat or cold. Temperatures above 35°C can damage the plant, as can frost.

Spear fern has a low nutrient requirement but still grows best in a nutrient-rich soil. For indoor cultivation, a weak dose of liquid plant nutrient is recommended once a month during spring and summer.

Sturdy paper bowls, economical quantity purchase
Size: 300 Count
I previously bought 50 (?) of the paper plates to check the quality and see how well they hold up before making quantity purchases of other paper products. The bowls hold up well though I use them primarily for cut up avocados, sliced tomatoes, cole slaw, etc. I have used them in the microwave under 15 seconds to reheat toasted English muffins with marmalade with no problem. I use Pyrex glass bowls in the microwave for veggies and soups, so I am unable to speak on how well the bowls hold up with hot foods in the microwave. I resisted buying and using paper bowls and plates for a long time; however, with my 80th birthday fast approaching, the fewer dishes I have to wash means less time standing on my feet. I am an experienced shopper, and these quality paper products bought in bulk are the best buy I have found. I recommend them.

Strong and very convenient
Size: 50 Count
These paper bowls are sturdy and hold up well even with hot or liquid foods. They don’t get soggy easily and are microwave safe, which makes them very convenient. The size is also great for soups, cereal, or leftovers. Good quality for disposable bowls and very practical for everyday use.

Sturdy, great value, very utilitarian
Size: 50 Count
Exactly what I wanted. Exact quality thickness and sturdiness. Only small downside is they're coated in a wax like substance and stick together so you have to pry them apart and if you microwave something, it tends to meld together and also stick into the bowl. But I still love them especially the price.
