Marigold Starfire Mix dazzles with vibrant mahogany, orange, and gold blooms that bring fiery warmth to any garden. This edible heirloom annual, Tagetes signata, typically grows up to 12 inches tall, producing multiple fragrant, branching stems per plant. Its intense color and scent make it a standout choice for cutting gardens, where the blooms add both beauty and aromatic appeal to fresh floral arrangements. Blooming in about 90 days with a germination rate around 70% or higher, these 200 Non-GMO seeds offer dependable performance. Thoughtfully packaged in eco-friendly, reusable, and recyclable materials, they support sustainable gardening practices and bring lasting vibrancy to your landscape. Ignite your garden with the bold, sunset-inspired colors of Starfire Mix marigolds that command attention from every angle. Unlike standard marigolds, this heirloom variety produces an abundance of branching stems loaded with fragrant blooms, giving you armfuls of cut flowers throughout the season. The compact 12-inch height makes them perfect for borders, containers, and cottage garden designs, while their edible petals add a peppery kick and stunning visual flair to salads and culinary creations. Starfire Mix's legendary fragrance fills the air with a distinctive, spicy aroma that many gardeners cherish—and pollinators adore.

This is an heirloom seed, meaning it has been passed down from generation to generation for at least 75 years. As a rule, heirloom seeds taste better and will grow the same year after year.

These are also open pollinated meaning they will reproduce themselves. While all heirlooms are open pollinated not all open pollinated seeds are heirlooms.

Freshly Packed: These seeds are packed for the current growing season and will provide high germination rates next year as well.

An epic naval history decades in the making
Format: Hardcover
Excellent ending to Dr. Rodger's three book series "A Naval History of Britain", with the same level of detail and interesting presentation of facts I have come to expect from reading other of his works over the years. For anyone interested in a comprehensive naval history of Britain (from which the US Navy inherited much of its tradition), I would highly recommend this series. In addition, "The Wooden World: An Anatomy of the Georgian Navy" is also quite a good read. My (incomplete, sadly) collection of Dr. Rodger's works will continue to hold a special place on my naval history shelf for easy reference in the future. I also hope Dr. Rodger's health has improved. The shipper unfortunately did not pack this book well, resulting in minor damage (mostly cosmetic - book is still entirely readable).

Answers Many Questions about Naval Developments
Format: Hardcover
The history offers a detailed and well organized account of the Royal Navy as it transitioned from sail to steam. Coverage included personalities, technology, tactics and strategy. The combination provided a complete appreciation of the dynamics at play, some unexpectedly. The details might be a bit much for a casual reader but offered plenty of avenues for research not available or compiled in one source. I look forward to the final volume, which should describe another watershed era.

Great Book with a different perspective
Format: Hardcover
This will be a short review of a very long book. I ordered the book expecting more of a history of the British Navy, but this is more of a history of Britain with respect to its navy. It is still excellent and authoritative, just different than I expected. I really appreciate a somewhat different perspective than I have found in some other books. For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.
