Plant Aucuba Gold Dust in a location that receives mostly shade. This aucuba doesn’t tolerate full sun. Aucuba can tolerate heavy shade, air pollution and poor soils, making them a hardy addition to your landscape.

Gold Dust does well in USDA Zones 7-10, but is commonly used as a house plant in Northern states.

If you want to use fertilizer, choose a well-balanced fertilizer during the vegetative period. No pruning necessary, but remove dead or damaged leaves.
