The performance standard for right-of-way vegetation management

The state-of-the-art formulation of Garlon 4 Ultra specialty herbicide was developed by Dow AgroSciences to deliver enhanced performance on unwanted vegetation along roadsides, industrial rights-of-way and similar noncrop sites. The advanced, patented formulation also helps ensure the continued availability of the workhorse active ingredient triclopyr for professional right-of-way vegetation management. Garlon 4 Ultra is available exclusively from Dow AgroSciences to meet the changing needs of vegetation management professionals, the public, and the environment. The innovative formulation uses a plant-derived solvent as a proactive measure to reduce organic compounds and petroleum distillates, reduce odor and improve overall performance. Dow AgroSciences also has updated and improved the label directions as part of its ongoing stewardship initiative.

Improved overall performance

Garlon 4 Ultra is labeled to effectively control more than 55 woody plants and more than 25 tough-to-control annual and perennial broadleaf weeds in noncrop areas that include roadsides, railroads, pipelines, industrial sites, forests and rights-of way such as power lines. It also is labeled for the establishment and maintenance of wildlife openings and can be used on sites that include grazed areas. The state-of-the-art formulation, offered exclusively from Dow AgroSciences, is based on methylated seed oil (MSO) as the solvent. In field tests, the Garlon 4 Ultra formulation demonstrated increased effecacy on high-anxiety woody species that include cherry, loblolly pine, mesquite, red oak, sweetgum and Scotch broom. At the same time, Garlon 4 Ultra provides the same high level of control that users of Garlon 4 specialty herbicide have come to expect for problem vegetation that include alder, ash, birch, blackberry, ceanothus, chinquapin, clover, dandelion, dogwood, elm, kudzu, maple, oak, poison ivy, ragweed and wild violet.

Conforms to changing environmental regulations

The advanced Garlon 4 Ultra specialty herbicide formulation uses no petroleum distillates important for compliance in states that have or are considering mandated reductions of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions into the atmosphere. The plant-derived solvent formulation results in a milder scent to help reduce the possible public objections associated with the strong odor of a petroleum-based solvent. The MSO solvent is less phytotoxic to foliage than petroleum-based formulations, and, therefore, the superior control can be attributed to improved uptake of active ingredient into plants. Because Garlon 4 Ultra uses triclopyr as the active ingredient, the same used in Garlon 4, the two herbicides share an extensive toxicology database and similar toxicology attributes. Garlon 4 Ultra is labeled with a Caution signal word.

Applications for long-lasting brush control

Conventional methods of roadside vegetation control like mowing and trimming remain important for maintenance, but are not always the best option. Steep terrain and railroads can make mowing dificult and even dangerous. Mechanical methods also can encourage resprouting, worsening the problem. Garlon 4 Ultra specialty herbicide effectively eliminates unwanted brush from labeled application sites to reduce visits by crews and heavy machinery. Garlon 4 Ultra works by limiting the nutrients available to target plants, essentially starving the plant until it is eliminated.

The Garlon 4 Ultra label allows for basal bark, cut-stump and foliar applications. Basal bark applications are hand-sprayed to the lower 15 inches of the bark at the base of the tree or brush. Cut-stump applications are made after tree removal with herbicide application to the cut stump surface and remaining bark to prevent tree resprouting. Foliar application directions allow herbicide application to plant foliage using ground or aerial (helicopter) equipment. Because Garlon 4 Ultra contains 4 pounds active ingredient per concentrate gallon, applicators familiar with Garlon 4 herbicide will and calibrating finished application rates to be the same. In basal oil mixtures, Garlon 4 Ultra specialty herbicide mixes as easily as does Garlon 4 and its cold weather handling characteristics are similar to that of Garlon 4. Label directions for Garlon 4 Ultra include tank-mixed with herbicides such as Tordon 101M, Tordon K and 2,4-D (please refer to the label for specic tank-mix directions).

Dow AgroSciences stewardship

In conjunction with the Garlon 4 Ultra formulation, Dow AgroSciences has made improvements to the label directions and packaging:
Registrations for Garlon 4 Ultra specialty herbicide have been submitted to all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
For added applicator protection, the label Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) directions include use of chemical-resistant gloves.
Protective eyewear is no longer required under the label Agricultural Use Requirements.
Garlon 4 Ultra is packaged in a choice of 2 gallon containers or easy-to-handle 30-gallon drums made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic that can be recycled after triple-rinsing, or disposed of after puncturing.
Garlon 4 Ultra also is available in Continuum Prescription Control & Container Management System, exclusively from Dow AgroSciences.

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.
