The ZZ plant is the champion of low light indoor plants. known for its glossy, dark green leaves. care of a ZZ plant is very easy, making it an ideal choice for beginners.
Light: ZZ plants can tolerate low to bright indirect light. However, they tend to do best in moderate, indirect light. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight.
Watering: Allow to dry out completely between watering, they are susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Stick your finger into the soil to check its moisture level or use our moisture meter to take the guesswork out.
Soil: ZZ plants prefer well-draining soil. We recommend using our Fafard Cactus and succulent potting mix to allow for excellent drainage.
Pot and Drainage: Choose a pot with lots of drainage to allow excess water to escape. Use a pot no more than 5cm larger than the existing pot.
Temperature: 18°C to 24°C. They can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but should be protected from frost.
Humidity: They adapt well to normal home/office humidity levels.
Fertilization: Feed your ZZ plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer We recommend our Sultz 10-15-10 every 4-6 weeks.
