Poinsettia Care Tips: Jennifer Brennan, Chalet’s Horticultural Specialist, says, “the key to success with Poinsettias is bright light and consistent temperatures.”
- Light: Place your Poinsettia near a sunny window where it will receive 6 hours bright light, but not be in direct sunlight all day (east-facing windows are best since that location provides morning sun and some afternoon shade).
- Watering: Water only when the top ½” of potting mix is dry to the touch and then to water thoroughly, until water drains from the bottom of the pot. If it’s moist, wait. Avoid getting water on the brachts (the colored leaves we refer to as flowers, which really aren’t).
- Temperature: Poinsettias prefer an indoor temperature from 65-75°F during the day, and above 60°F at night. Try to avoid drastic changes in temperature, such as warm drafts from a heater and be sure to keep the leaves away from touching cold windows, or the leaves may drop or prematurely wilt.

My big dogs FAVE!

These are the absolute best! We bought one in store over the holidays because they don’t have the stuffing that dogs like to pull out. My big dog thinks it’s his baby, but it’s light enough for my small dogs. As it got tattered from being carried, fetched, and bathed… we needed a replacement. He doesn’t do anything without his baby. He immediately took to this as it wasn’t brand new. Success with the replacement. I will definitely be buying again, because nobody one wants a sad pup.

A hound's dream toy.

I bought this for our "grandson"--a happy go lucky beagle--to play with while we were dogsitting. It took a while to motivate him to play with it, but eventually he caved... and then promptly proceeded to tear its insides out! I took a photo and sent it to my son, and he remarked, "Wow, it has been a long time since he played with a toy like that." So even an old hound past his prime enjoyed this toy. As for quality, this is a very well made toy. Yes, it's true that the dog ripped it to shreds, but that'll happen to any toy if the dog is determined enough. I was happy he enjoyed it. He also has two loofa dog toys here that he hardly ever touches, but this duck toy was too much for him to resist. My only suggestion is to supervise your dog while he plays with this. Besides the inner stuffing, the toy has a fuzzy surface to it, and you don't want him chewing a bunch of fuzz if he tears some out, as dogs are apt to do. Other than that, GREAT DOG TOY!

My Border Collie's absolute favorite toy!

Stuffed animal (with squeaker) securely attached to rope hoop. Lasts a long time as a kind of frisbee. However, really an outdoor toy for active play, because when my dog has a chance to lie down comfortably this toy will get torn apart and shredded fast!!! (This is his third!) Can be repaired for awhile to prolong use with strong cotton carpet thread, but it is not immortal, so be advised.

Fantastic Toy, Completely Worth It!

Ever so slightly smaller than I expected but that’s really on me for not checking the measurements. It’s not too small anyway, so it’s alright. It’s definitely a very high quality material, my dog plays super rough with it and still has yet to make more than a very tiny hole (which was easy to stitch). It’s well-stuffed, super cute, and not too realistic but realistic enough to give that duck vibe. It’s built very sturdy, so I expect it will last a long time still. It survived its first two washes just fine as well as the dryer, and the quality of the fuzz hasn’t really gone down. Definitely worth the buy! Will absolutely buy a second one when he finally does destroy this one, since he’s obsessed with it. It’s his favorite toy (and honestly, mine too, it keeps him so entertained and it holds up wonderfully).
