Anthurium Waterburyanum

A rare hemiepiphytic species endemic to Ecuador, named for its original collector Bette Waterbury, and one of the more closely related species to A. warocqueanum in the pendant velvet anthurium group. It carries long, broadly elongated, velvety leaves with prominent white-green venation and a deep, rich green surface — a large-scale plant that can attain impressive size on a well-grown climbing specimen. Known among collectors as a somewhat slow acclimator that takes its time establishing before pushing new growth, rewarding patience with progressively larger leaves.

  • Light: Bright indirect light to dappled shade; adapts across a reasonable light range. Avoid direct sun which damages the velvety leaf surface.

  • Soil: Open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; excellent aeration essential for the hemiepiphytic root system. Pack sphagnum around the stem as it climbs.

  • Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; high humidity of 60-80% is essential — thrives above ambient household humidity.

  • Watering: Keep consistently but lightly moist — never saturated. Allow only the top layer to approach dryness between waterings; never allow to dry out fully.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during active growth; consistent feeding supports the steadiest leaf development. Reduce in winter.

I’m pretty happy with this hiking shoes. It is confy, well made and sturdy. First impressions were all positive. I was looking for a beater that I wouldn’t feel sorry to abuse, and this is the perfect fit.

Versatile, comfortable and a delight to wear
Size: 10.5 Wide, Color: Army Green
Had never heard of this brand but needed a pair of waterproof boots for a trip to the PNW where we would hike in mountains, rainforest and beaches. I have a pair of Merrell Moab hiking shoes, but wanted something that covered more and were waterproof. These boots are amazing. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I own. I wore them everywhere and found I preferred them over other shoes throughout the trip. They stayed comfortable and dry no matter where we went, rivers, lakes or the ocean. I’ve now worn them on several trips including a March trip to Bryce Canyon where we went from snow on some trails to the heat of the red rocks in others. I love these boots more every time I wear them. I am a huge fan now. At the price they are a nobrainer. I would buy these Nortiv8 boots over and over again.

Good value for a $55 boot.
Size: 12, Color: Army Green
I like these boots because I have a wide foot and even though I bought the 12 and NOT the 12W there is plenty of width. Very comfortable boot. I have put this pair through about 1000 miles mostly on asphalt, ice and snow. Very little actual dirt/ rocky trails. I bought them for the waterproofness and ankle support. Now the soles are getting thin and I can feel small rocks through the soles. Plus the soles are beginning to separate from the uppers and they are no longer waterproof. Not bad for 1000 miles. Still, I feel For a $55 boot they are a good value. I am 6ft and weigh 250.

Worth Every Penny!
Size: 9, Color: Coyote
I absolutely love these boots! They are super light, comfortable and definitely waterproof. I took them on a camping trip for the weekend and I walked through creeks and puddles with no issues at all. No water got inside and they were comfortable all weekend. The only thing was the tongue did start to bother me a bit after the 3rd day. I have some pretty boney shins but a small cloth between my shins and the tongue helped a lot.
