Mounts are an incredible way to display plants, and can help mimic the conditions that certain species are accustomed to in their natural habitat. They are super fun to make to too! Usually this method is used to display epiphytes, which are plants that primarily grow on the sides of trees rather than terrestrially. This includes plants like Hoya, Rhipsalis, and lots of fern species! Platycerium in particular are probably the plant most commonly seen growing as a mount. We absolutely adore mounting plants and it can transform your wall plant collection.
Learn to make your own cork mount in this workshop as we go through materials and step-by-step process. All plants and materials are included as well as care guide to take home afterwards. Workshop duration is roughly 45 minutes to an hour.
Class size: 8 people
This workshop will be hosted by Sarah at our shop in Portland, Oregon. Complimentary wine served (to those over 21)!
