- Fill 9cm pots or similar with seed compost almost to the top.
- Take a small pinch of seeds and sprinkle them over the top of the compost.
- Add a light covering of compost over the seeds.
- Water the seeds carefully and cover the pot with the polythene bag.
- Keep at circa 18-24c - ideally use a heat mat
- Germination normally takes 10-15 days
- After germination, remove the polythene bag.
- Once established, harden off slowly in early spring
- Protect from frosts
- Plant out in a sunny spot in the garden after the risk of frost has passed
