M. crystallinum blooms in spring to early summer with daisy-like flowers that are creamy yellow in color and 1 to 2 inches in diameter. This species is grown for its drought tolerance, colorful flowers, and ground covering growth habit. M. crystallinum grows best in full sun to partial shade sitting in well draining soil. Water adequately during summer and keep dry during winter as the species is prone to rot. Allow the soil to completely dry out in between waterings. USDA plant hardiness zones 9a through 11b.
