Description

hybrid philodendron plants Philodendron Glimmer – Primary Hybrid Collector Philodendron — Ecuagenera Orquídeas del EcuadorA primary hybrid of Phil. brandtianum Phil. melanochrysum, two prized velvety leaved species from the tropical forests of South America, it produces large, heart shaped leaves with deep green surfaces, a semi velvety texture, and elegantly contrasting pale venation inherited from both parents. The vigorous climbing habit and refined foliar pattern make it a standout collector hybrid for intermediate warm growing conditions. Light: Bright to moderate

A primary hybrid of Phil. brandtianum × Phil. melanochrysum, two prized velvety-leaved species from the tropical forests of South America, it produces large, heart-shaped leaves with deep green surfaces, a semi-velvety texture, and elegantly contrasting pale venation inherited from both parents. The vigorous climbing habit and refined foliar pattern make it a standout collector hybrid for intermediate-warm growing conditions.

  • Light: Bright to moderate indirect light; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaf surface, and avoid deep shade, which reduces leaf size and venation contrast.
  • Temperature: 62–82°F (17–28°C); an intermediate-warm grower that should be kept away from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 65–85%; high humidity enhances leaf texture and supports vigorous growth; use a humidifier or grow in a greenhouse environment.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry; avoid waterlogging, which can cause root rot in the fleshy root system.

Additional Notes

Grows best in a chunky, well-draining aroid mix of bark, perlite, and coco coir, trained on a moss pole or totem to encourage large leaf development. Ships well-established in its pot — ready to grow in your home or greenhouse.

Loved this book!
Format: Hardcover
I have a grandson (5yrs old) who loves "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly" books, and is obsessed with black holes as well. He asked santa for a black hole for Christmas and his mom told me, "good luck with that", so when I found this, it was perfect! He absolutely loved it and it's a cute book to read.

2nd book if you have black light
Format: Hardcover
The book is ok, with the same plot as "there was an old lady who swallowed a fly" but there is a second book that goes back to front if you have a blacklight. Some of the pages were not printed well with the invisible ink but I really liked that second book better, as it explains the terminology like quarks and atoms. It is a fun book but having a black light is a must.
