Bring a touch of the tropics to your garden with the Giant Granadilla Passion Fruit (Passiflora quadrangularis)—the largest passion fruit variety! Unlike the smaller purple or yellow passion fruits, this giant produces massive, melon-sized fruits with a sweet, mildly tangy pulp that's perfect for fresh eating, juices, and desserts. Its vigorous vine thrives in warm climates, offering stunning, exotic flowers that attract pollinators. For best results, plant in full sun with well-draining soil, provide sturdy trellising, and water consistently. Please note that this variety of passion fruit is NOT self fertile. It does require another plant to cross pollinate with, in order to produce fruit.

FYI - passion fruit is a butterfly host plant for Gulf fritillary and Zebra Longwing butterflies. Please do not spray passion fruit vines with anything. These caterpillars will munch on the leaves but its not enough damage to negativly impact passion fruit vines.

How To Grow & Ideal Growing Conditions
USDA Hardiness Zones: 9-13

Protect young plants if temperatures drop below 40F.

Perennial vining plant

Self-fertile but will produce more if there are 2 plants that can cross pollinate with each other

Sun: Full sun

Vine Length/Plant Size: Mature vines can get over 20FT. This is a very vigorous vining plant that requires vertical support to grow properly.

Soil: Everything grows best in soil that is heavy in composted organic matter BUT passion fruit can grow in a variety of soils, like my native Florida sandy soil. Just fertilize regularly.

Fertilizer: Use citrus fertilizer. My favorite is Espoma organic granular citrus-tone. Fertilize young vines to encourage lots of healthy growth with about 1/8 cup every 1.5 months. Once vines are established, I barely fertilize. I'll throw some fertilizer its way a few times a year, starting in spring to help "wake" up the vines after winter.

These are great my dog loved it
Well, I can say one thing I have shepherd. Wolf hybrids, and they are very particular about the stuff they eat. I can give them raw meat, and if it's old, they don't want it, so they're pretty finicky, I hooked them up with these. And they didn't hesitate to go at them. So I wait, I fed half, and then waited a couple of days, they had no negative response to it. That I'm aware of and so I gave him the other one and split it between them, and they don't stop until they're gone. So they pretty much sold themselves for me. If mine My dogs will eat em.They must be okay worth the money in my book.Made my babies happy should get some for yours my dogs are like super chooers.Okay, they have jaws that break bone.So to try to say that these are not good for heavy chewers, I i can't agree with that.Although they won't last very long with heavy chewers, they do great. The dogs love them we only smell was the smell of the product.Kind of a food smell to it.And as soon as I opened the package, the dogs had me surrounded like the sue did old custard, and they weren't letting me go until I shared straight up the male's a hundred plus pounds. And he's eyeballing me like, i'm gonna be lunch. If I don't give him a share, it was funny as hell a great product i think one of the things is the peanut butter. That's in them.My dogs love their peanut butter now. These are almost a foot long each stick, and they're about an inch and a half in diameter. Now they would last for a pretty good time for a normal chew type.DogRottweiler's pit bull saint bernard's high bread.Shepherds, et cetera, anything with a two thousand pound byte is going to tear these things up and have a great time.Doing itThey won't last as long as the dainty chewers and the the comfort chewers, but they'll do the job

Not made for Golden Retrievers.
Nope. Did not last an hour with our Golden Retrievers. We bought these for Christmas hoping to entertain our 2 and 4 year old Goldens while cleaning their teeth. Within an hour they were destroyed.
