Aquacide Pellets with 2,4-D are a selective, root killing, systemic herbicide. Controls submersed, emersed, and floating weeds. For use in ponds, lakes, reservoirs, bayous, drainage ditches, non-irrigation canals, rivers and streams that are quiescent or slow moving. Great around docks, boat hoists, swimming beaches and shorelines.

Easy to apply.

Marble-size Aquacide Pellets sink directly into the weed bed, visibly expand over a period of several hours to a day, and stratify a layer of herbicide where the weeds grow. Herbicide is released slowly in controlled amounts. As weeds grow herbicide is absorbed through leaves, stems and roots. Herbicide absorption is quite rapid, just a few hours under good growing conditions. Once absorbed, the herbicide moves throughout the weed to the growing parts of leaves and roots. Growth at these parts is halted and the weed dies.  Kills the entire weed roots and all. Initial effects occur in 7 to 10 days. Initial effects include brittle stems and curling leaf tips. Under optimum conditions full weed kill occurs in 3 to 5 weeks. Dead weeds sink to the bottom and decompose.

Effective on many common weeds.

Aquacide Pellets are effective anytime susceptible weeds are actively growing. When applied in spring and early summer, less material is required, less dead weeds occur and a longer weed free period will result. Successful applications can be made in late summer and fall to actively growing weeds.  The full effect of late season applications may not be fully evident until the following season.

Early season applications to perennial weeds, such as Common Cattails or Water Lilies, while growing below the surface, may require 3 to 4 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. at a 4 foot depth.  A second application, at the appropriate rate, may be necessary in 3 to 5 weeks if weeds show signs of recovery.  Heavy clay, mud, or silt build up may reduce root absorption by effectively sealing the roots.  Early season application or more than one application may overcome this problem. Water movement in the form of currents or bottom springs may wash the herbicide from the treatment site, reducing effectiveness.

The most comprehensive up to date review of 2,4-D is contained in the EPA re-registration eligibility decision for 2,4-D. This document states; "2,4-D has a reputation as a selective and economical means to remove invasive plants, enhance the growth and recovery of desirable native vegetation, restore water quality and improve fish and wildlife habitat."

As a rule of thumb Aquacide Pellets will be effective on weeds with leaves that have a laced or branched vein structure. Aquacide Pellets will usually not be effective on weeds with leaves having parallel veins such as Grasses.

Aquacide Pellets are easy to apply.  Nothing to mix or spray. Simply broadcast pellets uniformly over water surface with a fanning motion of the hand.  Similar to sowing grass seed.  Effective at any depth.

Tried and true.

For submersed weeds use Aquacide Pellets at a rate of 1.0 to 4.0 ppm active ingredient.  This is equivalent to 15 to 60 pounds of Aquacide Pellets per acre-foot of weed volume, or 5.6 to 22.4 pounds of Aquacide Pellets over 4,000 sq. ft. at a 4 foot average depth.
For spring to early summer application to new weeds use 1.0 to 2.0 ppm.
For mid-summer to fall applications to mature weeds use 3.0 to 4.0 ppm.
To determine pounds of Aquacide Pellets to use per 1,000 sq. ft.:
(application rate in ppm) x (average depth in feet) x (0.35)
To use 2.0 ppm at an average depth of 4.0 feet:
2.0 x 4.0 x 0.35 = 2.8 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.

Avoid churning water in treatment site for 72 hours following application.  This will help insure maximum herbicide is available for absorption by the weeds.

See Water Use Restrictions (Days).

Good value and good material. Great size and thickness. My pit loved it until I drove over it with my riding lawn mower. I will be buying another soon.

Updated title: Not for a power chewer
Size: Dog Rope Toy - M
Update: I had to cut the ball off the same day I wrote this review. Two days later, the yellow rope was totally unraveled and I had to throw it away. She got maybe 3 days of play with this toy. Do not buy this toy if you have a larger dog that chews a lot. I will say our dog loved this toy the moment she started playing with it. But the toy doesn't last long with our superchewer. I was hoping to use it for some games of tug, and while we're at it get her teeth cleaned by the spikey red ball. The listing includes "large" dogs. My large dog (11 m/o Bernese puppy) had this toy broken within the first 10 minutes. The red pieces are a pretty lightweight plastic that she just broke apart completely, specifically the bone on the "handle". The ball is lasting a little longer, but she put a hole in it. We will probably need to cut the ball off as well because she'll chew it up and swallow it if we're not careful, and then she'll need (another) surgery. The positive is that she loves chewing on rope and the rope pieces seem pretty sturdy. We still play tug with the ropes, but this one I will probably just give to her as a chew toy. We found a more durable ball on a rope toy at Target for a little bit less.

This toy will not hold up
Size: Dog Rope Toy - M
I bought this for my heavy chewer. The plastic pieces lasted about 15 minutes. She is an Italian Mastiff, but she is only 7 months old. I expected more from a toy that was rated as 'tough'.

Best and toughest dog toy on the market 4 all breeds and sized dogs
Size: Large, Size: Large
Now i know this doesnt appear to be good based off the photos but hear me out. My pitbull (and any pitbull owner will most likley know the same struggle with chew toys) is an extrememly tough ans agressive chewer! Every toy i would purchase for him from rubber ones to rope ones, enormous raw hides, oversized balls thinking it would be hard for him to bite believing that would increase its life, it did not. None of the toys lasted for more than a few HOURS!!! And that was when he was being easy with them! I was on the line of stopping biying him toys and letting him just chew sticks, but then one day in a coversation with my plumber and familt friend he mentioned trying kong brand dog toys. I didnt have anything to lose besides more money and an hour of entertainment for my dog so i decided to try them. I bought 3 different kong brand toys. A tug of war one that was rope with kong rubber grip handled ends, a weird ball like toy that was able to add peanut butter in a small hole and this toy. Amazed the tug of war toy(handles only) even though fairly thin lasted over 3 days!! And thats huuuuge for him with toys. Then the little peanut butter ball thing lasted about a week! I was sold. But then he finally got to try this ball with tug of war handles that contains a tennis ball when it finally is destroyed as a bonus toy and it even squeeks and the swueeker was even guarded by the rubber so it wasnt crushed immediatley! Now afyer seeing the picture of said ball it is destroyed now but it lasted many tug of wars with him and him gnawinf on it for hours every day. The kicker is i bought it roughly around september 16th, it is now JANUARY 21st!!!!! The ball has now lasted him approximately 4months 5days! Thats an insane increse of chew life for any pitbull especially mine. And it ximes in 2 sizes. The large is a little bigger than a large cantelope or slightly smaller than a basketball. And they have a smaller version for small breed heavy chewers!! I couldnt be more pleased with this purchase and will definatley be ordering 3 more ASAP considering his prob only has another week or 2 left. The only negatives are 1, when they do chew off the handles tou cant play tug of war any more and 2 that when they finally get into the main cavity where they can actually start chewing off little bits of it they emd up all over the place, bunchesmof little rubber nubs but its easy to clean. So if you have an extremely heavy chewer as i do and are looking for a toy that is worth the money and will last your dog a good time and that they will love(my dogs fav toy hes ever had) and u want it to squeek and have a bonus toy inside of it to hold them over til the next one arrives when they ruin it, then trust me! BUY KONG CHEW TOYS. specifically THIS TOY!! Best dog brand and toy on the market. Ajd its safe and if im not mistaken harmful chemical and bpa free so ur pups can chew safely. And it cleans their teeth as a bonus because of the tough rubber!! Its so worth it. only recommendation. Buy atleast 1 large 1 and one small one if u have a medium-large dog. If their small then probably only the small one or any other kong toy. If they're light chewers u probably will mever have to buy another chew toy again! Its that good and strong yet still flexible enough to squeek it!! Hope this review helps you and encourages u to buy this toy and brand over any other!!!

Purrrfect for a Pitbull or Am Staff Terrier
Size: Large, Size: Large
Large size Dog: Am Staff about 50-55 lbs She ruin all her toys in less than 3-5 minutes except this one. Again, we use this toys with guidance and support. Cons: Definitely built to last but must not be left unattended because we all know what our pitbull and Am Staff is capable of doing with their teeth. It has many feature, squeaky sections the sensory of the ball inside, weighted, and puncture proof, top and bottom option to carry this dog during a fetch game. Easy to clean. Cons: if left unattended this is not a chewing proof toy for 6-8 hours. That is not what is made for. This is an engagement toy you have to do with your fur friend.
