Want to create opportunities for duck hunting on your property?

It’s easier than you might think.

Impoundments are nothing more than a shallow wet season pond that can be drained during the summer. This mix is designed to be planted in or around duck impoundments and ponds and can be flooded to provide a magnet for waterfowl.

The grains in this mix have been selected to hang around late into the year without breaking down to ensure you still have plenty of food by duck season. A flooded field of this mix provides excellent habitat for waterfowl. Puddle ducks like mallards, black ducks, and wood ducks are especially fond of this mix.

Ingredients:

2 Millets

Grain Sorghum

Buckwheat

How we formulated this mix:

The specific millet and sorghum included here has excellent traits for waterfowl plantings specifically. All 3 hold on the stalk well and do not deteriorate quickly in wet conditions, a must when planting for waterfowl. Many other grains fall too quickly and rot before waterfowl season begins in most states. Buckwheat helps provide both grain and some forage potential to make this mix more appealing to a wide range of waterfowl species. Wild rice was omitted in favor of sorghum and millet as both are easier and more reliable to grow especially for those new to planting.

WHERE TO PLANT: Best in full sun. Stands up well to flooding. Great for low areas that flood seasonally or man-made waterfowl impoundments.

pH: 5.0-7.5

MINIMUM SOIL FERTILITY NEEDED: Moderate

WHEN TO PLANT:

Plant 90-120 days before the average first frost in your area

SOIL PREP: Disc, tiller, plow, or no-till planter. Best when lightly covered at appropriate depth but can be no-till broadcast if needed, just expect thinner stands/mixed results.

PLANTING DEPTH: 1/4 - 1/2 in

FERTILIZER: For best results use the Whitetail Hill Soil Test and apply fertilizer as recommended by the test - Order at WhitetailHill.com

Atlanta During the 1890's
Format: Paperback
Whether you like The Downstairs Girl or not depends on what you crave. If you crave historical fiction that will teach you, or that helps you realize the myriad of things that were going on in a certian place and time (Atlanta during the 1890s, or an imaginative author who never use trite metaphors or similes, you will love this book. Or if you want to quickly turn pages, you will be disappointed. If you want a simple plot, do not read this book. If you want an intricately spun story with plenty of mystrey, humor and many surprises, you will love it. Jo Kuan is a Chinese American without voting rights, deStined to be a servang and doesn;t knw who her mother or father are, lives in a basement of a family with Old Gin who she thinks of as old man who adopted not offically but out of love. Chinese Americans were brought into the South after the Civil War to take over what slaves used to do but instead of no pay, they got tiny pay. You could walk or take a streetcar to work. Blacks sat the back of the streetcars, but if you were Chinese American, you didn't know where you sat or were told to gat off. They could not own or rent, where were you supposed to live; It was the start of Jim Crow laws and of cocoa cola. Women suffragettes started working towards the vote of white women. This was not a quiet oeriod of history. I thoroughly enjoyed this peak at Atlanta in the 1890's through an Asian American young woman's eyes, ears and even her nose.

Very Informative, but lacking in one or two areas.
Format: Kindle
I'm disabled and need a better living condition. I'm already on the waiting list for S8 and have been for the last year and a half. The book is informative, but it lacks in some areas. The author seems to think that many on disability have the option to "physically move around" doing chores and visiting offices. I'm a disabled 53 year old man, homebound and just recently lost daytime access to my little truck, only available to me during the weekends and evening hours, and when I do have it, it's rare I drive long distances. I cannot even afford to ride public transportation and have no one else to lean on for support. Also he seems to think that buying donuts/lunch for the whole office is a way in... maybe it's a way in for those that can afford it.. but not for many. Other than that.. it's worth to buy the download of the book itself.
