Variety description: This dwarf selection of dawn redwood is prized for its bluish green needles and weeping branches. Overall structure is quite irregular. No two specimens are quite alike. This cultivar is a seedling selection from Dr. John Kuser at Rutgers University, New Jersey from seed obtained from China in 1992.
Height and Spread at Maturity: 4' tall and 3' wide after 10 years.
Site requirements: Full sun or part shade location. Prefers moist soils high in organic content, but will grow well in many soil types.
Hardiness: USDA zones 5-9.
Plant size: Grafted tree available in two sizes: MT49 4" x 9" tree pot and 2 gallon container.
