Armeria maritima

Thrift seapink is a darling evergreen plant that produces small, globe-shaped bright pink to lavender (or sometimes white) flowers on compact mounds of dark green leaves. Over time, the clumps will spread to form a fuss-free groundcover that is adored by hummingbirds and pollinators. It is common along the Oregon coast so be sure to give it sandy or rocky, low-nutrient soils to enjoy its stunning flowers year after year.

  • Plant type/canopy layer: evergreen, perennial, herbaceous plant

  • Bloom time: April - August
  • Growth rate/ease: medium to slow growth rate, moderately easy to grow (in the right conditions)

  • Native habitat/range: commonly found growing in bluffs, grasslands, and coastal sands, from sea level to 200m, along the coasts of Oregon and Washington. Portland Plant List - no.
  • Special features & uses: deer resistant; drought tolerant; evergreen; groundcover; landscape uses include pollinator gardens and rock gardens

Gardening with Thrift Seapink: This plant is ideal for dry, well-drained or sandy areas of your yard - such as a rock garden. Since it is evergreen, it should not be cut back to the ground in fall as that will affect spring bloom. Don't baby this beauty - it will not tolerate supplemental water, nor soils that are too-rich, heavy or moist.

High on Tropes and Satisfaction
Format: Kindle
This is a great Romantasy book full of action, adventure, and everything you look for in this genre. I won’t lie: it does kinda feel like the author found every common trope from every successful book of this kind and threw them all into this novel. But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially in romance, there’s a large audience who has specific expectations, and they want them every time. Nothing wrong with that and many times I’m one of them. I have no idea what defines a spoiler honestly, so spoiler alert!!!!!!! Tropes include: Only one bed at the inn/bar Dissatisfaction with life before hunk appears Lost royalty The chosen one Montage of dress up time followed by shocked hunk Forbidden romance between two from rival peoples Power that cannot be controlled, simply guided/asked Gathering intel at the inn/bar FMC who knows how to fight/use weapons well There’s probably more but no need to list them all. Good story and I would recommend!

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.
