P. verrucosum is a climbing species that requires a totem for support in order to produce full sized leaves. If given warm, humid conditions with adequate light, it grows FAST.
The native range of Philodendron verrucusom spans from Central America all the way south to Peru. We grow a wide range of outstanding ecotypes. This "Queen of Hearts" clone was obtained directly from Jay Vaninii and is one of the "Tico Blues" origin plants. It is acclaimed as one of the best verrucosum in cultivation! See photos of fully mature specimens in Jay's write up. Unlike other forms, the backside (abaxial) of the leaves are deep red throughout all parts of the lifecycle.
