The items needed to pitch your shelter will vary depending on your approach.
- Front Pole: About 44" - 45" (~111 - 114 cm) when pairing with the Bug Shelter or 39" - 42" (~99 - 107cm) when pairing with the Bivy
- Rear Pole: At least 31" (~79cm) when pairing with the Bug Shelter or at least 26" (~66cm) when pairing with the Bivy
- Stakes: 6 (8 for better wind stability)
- Rigging: If you plan to pitch the inner on its own (not under the Cirriform), you will need additional guyline or our Stand-alone rigging kit. If using tent poles or trekking poles without baskets, you may also need two of our guyline grommets (not needed with stand-alone kit).
Notes/FAQ:
- Do I need a groundsheet? A groundsheet is not required, but using one will help extend the life of any floor.
- Do I need to seal the seams? Tarp seams should be sealed using a sealer for silicone coated fabrics (we recommend Seam Grip +SIL by Gear Aid). Optional seam sealing service available. Floor seams are factory-taped and don't require sealing.
Pitching
How to pitch
Start by staking out the corners of the tarp to establish your base. Raise the poles at the peaks and stake them to form the shelter's shape. Adjust and tension the lines evenly for a tight, balanced pitch. Once the outer is secure, attach the inner by clipping the corners and apexes to the tarp. When breaking camp, leave the inner and outer connected so your shelter is ready for a quick, seamless setup next time.

Feels good on a cool day.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I was looking for a mock turtle neck T-shirt so I was a bit surprised they were almost like a very light undershirt or sweater., or heavy tee. I like to wear them when it's cool or under a shirt or sweater.
Washability:
Machine wash, dry on warm as it's got spandex in it. Has held up to machine washing without loosing elasticity.
Quality:
Not a highly refined shirt. Quality is ok but could be better.
Weight:
About like a heavy tee shirt or very light undershirt.

The material and tight fitting helps keep you warm…
Size: Large, Color: Green
I am 5’8” tall and weigh in at 172 lbs dressed. These are the most comfortable cold weather shirts I have ever worn. In my humble opinion, what makes these shirts so comfortable and warm is the tight fitting and the soft, fleece like feeling on my skin. I wear and ordered the large size. The shirt is cut so they fit close to one’s body and look great compared to other brands of shirts that end up looking like one is wearing a potato bag. The tight fitting helps keep me feeling warm. No cold air pockets.
