It was reworked and modernized around the 1970s, with a zipper added in the back, making it easier to wear. Because of the empire waist, this can also be an incredible vintage

This romantic vintage red velvet dress was custom-made in the late 1930s (possibly early 1940s), and is entirely one-of-a-kind. The maxi-length crushed red velvet is so rich. It was reworked and modernized around the 1970s, with a zipper added in the back, making it easier to wear. Because of the empire waist, this can also be an incredible vintage maternity dress. Closes in the back with a zipper.

The Antique Victorian Heart Locket pictured is also available. 

Measurements: This will best fit a size X-Small, Small and possibly Medium; please refer to below measurements. It is smaller through the shoulders and chest, with more flexibility through the waist and hips.

Empire waist/underbust: about 29", gathering offers some forgiveness there
Hips are open up to 45"
Length: 53"


Good vintage condition overall; there were some repairs made to the fabric at the bottom skirt towards hem. The consistency of this product is thick, kinda sticky at first, and a bit hard to blend/spread out, but I think that's bound to happen with any sunscreen that's actually protective. It may also seem that it leaves a white cast initially, but after letting it dry for a minute or two, it becomes clear. Overall I can't recommend this enough, and I'm glad to finally have a sensitive-skin-friendly mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast :)

Where has this been my whole life

Let me give you some background. I’m middle eastern. That means I tan well but have two different skin tones; my January skin and my July skin. I wear a watch and I’ve been out of the sun since September. My tan hasn’t totally faded but the lighter band, that’s my real skin color. That’s how I want to be all over. HOWEVER, I have finally found the product I’ve been searching for. Blue Lizard leaves no white cast on my skin. It’s easy to rub in. It also does not get trapped in my dense, black eyebrows the way other products did. It would gross me out and look like I had flakes in my eyebrows. I just spent the week at Universal Studios and I did not burn. I didn’t tan either, which is great. Tanning is also a sign of sun damage. Chemical or mineral sunscreens often prevent sunburn but I still tan. I don’t want either. I am sold and will continue to buy this product. I feel great about that it has safer and better quality ingredients.
