After taking out the bottom screws, my husband saw corroded batteries. We are disappointed that the intact batteries were not good. Luckily we had ordered a 10 pack of batteries at the same time so were able to replace them and give the toy back to our puppy to play with. Shipment was fast. Item is very durable and both our dogs will have fun with it.
