- The Doctoral Hood’s shell and lining are made of the same material as the doctoral gown. Doctoral graduation hood measurement size: 43” length, 26” width, band in 5”.PhD hood color: velvet color according to the degree, lining, and chevron according to the school. It includes looping for attachment to the gown.
