This romantic vintage red velvet dress was custom-made in the late 1930s (possibly early 1940s), and is entirely one-of-a-kind. The maxi-length crushed red velvet is so rich. It features a gathered empire waist, with long tailored sleeves that come to a point at the cuff. It was reworked and modernized around the 1970s, with a zipper added in the back, making it easier to wear. Because of the empire waist, this can also be an incredible vintage maternity dress. Closes in the back with a zipper.

The Antique Victorian Heart Locket pictured is also available. 

Measurements: This will best fit a size X-Small, Small and possibly Medium; please refer to below measurements. It is smaller through the shoulders and chest, with more flexibility through the waist and hips.

Empire waist/underbust: about 29", gathering offers some forgiveness there
Hips are open up to 45"
Length: 53"


Good vintage condition overall; there were some repairs made to the fabric at the bottom skirt towards hem. We use Pampers 360’s for our 18 month old, but we decided to try out Huggies 360’s to check if they were better Huggies 360 differ from Pampers 360 in size. These Huggies are huge compared to Pampers, they fit true to size but are puffy and take up more space in the diaper bag and the diaper drawer. My toddler prefers to run around wearing only a diaper. Huggies are less durable than Pampers, they will fray and pill more with the friction of surfaces. They perform the same as the Pampers, we didn’t experience any leaks. They are also similar is softness to Pampers. The elastic at the sides also seems tighter than Pampers. The main reason we won’t be switching to Huggies 360 is that the absorbent panel in the front is wider and less flexible so more difficult to get into a comfortable position for my son’s anatomy. They do function well as diapers, they just aren’t for us.
