The case is made of solid 14K gold and was produced by DiVincenzo & Arienti (D&A) of Brooklyn, New York - one of the top American case makers of the time. D&A supplied cases for brands like Longines, Omega, and Rolex, and their quality is obvious here in the sharp lines and well-proportioned shape. Inside is a Longines manual-wind movement with serial number 9349689, dating the watch confidently to 1954. This is a proper vintage dress watch with nothing to explain away.
