Bob Mackie sure had his day. This dress is from the era where if you wanted drama, you called Bob Mackie. Fair warning! - this is a heavy dress. I would guess about 6 pounds. But isn't she lovely.

Fitted bodice with Bob Mackie's iconic over the top beading. Gorgeous faux pearls, smoky grey and shimmering silver bugle beads are arranged in a type of chevron pattern.
Under layer is cut in a sweetheart neckline with the top of the bodice being sheer.
High neckline.
Long straight sleeves are sheer with zipper wrists.
Back zipper.
The skirt is insane! Yards and yards of gathered shimmering fabric that is just a bit more drapey than taffeta. Under the skirt you will find the stiffest, fullest plastic netting. No need for a crinoline here!
Fully lined.
