Iconic Bob Mackie hourglass show-stopper dating back to 1990 when he created a collection dedicated to the Napa Valley region. The same beaded novelty design was used for Sharon Stone's famous gown in the film "Casino" back in 1995. Mackie began his career as a Hollywood costuming sketch artist, working for both Edith Head and Jean Louis. While working with designer Ray Aghayan, Mackie soon began creating evening clothing for the divas who would make him a household name- most notably Carol Burnett, Diana Ross and Cher. This breathtaking ruby-red grapevines novelty beaded gown is a perfect example of his genius. The incredible fabric is a double-layered black silk mesh which molds to your bodice. The bodice is a seductive asymmetric low-cut plunge boned strapless. The alluring nipped waist wiggle construction with front slit finishes this garment off with the perfect femme fatale vibe. I totally see this gliding down the red carpet.
