I always find Dan Werle's designs to be fun and feminine, but this one seems to transcend the "pretty" into the realm of "WOW". It is, of course, also pretty, but the construction is quite complex and the resulting look is unique and quite stunning. The dress is cut in the trapeze style, but it was then attached to the silk lining just along the front, leaving the back free and swingy while the front is more fitted. The look brings to mind early Yves Saint Laurent. The fabric is black silk. The silk lining has a back zipper, the dress closes with buttons at the shoulder.
