I believe the silk waist band at one time was tacked together to create a more blouson effect above, but was let out at some point in the past to allow for a better fit in the hips. | Condition | Overall very good. The dress is very structurally sound and very wearable (with care as with all 1920s dresses). There are just a few minor signs of wear that are pointed out for accuracy although they don't affect the beauty of the dress.. There is an older/period repair on the back (see last photo) and a tiny pinhole on the back near the hem. There are a few scattered small holes in the chiffon, but the aren't extremely visible because of the draping. As mentioned above, the waist band has been let out. Priced accordingly. |
