This dress is a loose cut, floor length dress. It has a simple cut which is evocative of styles found throughout the early-mid middle ages. It's also useful in a fantasy wardrobe too, you can wear it on it's own, or over another underdress or chemise, or use it as a base for another outfit.

The accessories make the costume, you can dress this up or down to suit a wide variety of characters. Will you be a wise witch, a fierce warrior or a regal queen? This dress will be a great starting point for many costumes.

The dress is made of sturdy cotton. Cotton is a natural fibre, which breathes and keeps you cooler than synthetics do and the fabric is a nice heavy weight so it isn't see-through either. Cotton is also more affordable and cooler than wool, which would have been the most common fabric used for this sort of dress historically.

Machine wash at 40°C / 104°F (preferably with similar coloured clothes to avoid risk of colour transfer). Wash before first use. Can be tumble dried on low heat and can be ironed on low heat if necessary.
