Asiatic lilies have a reliable disposition and an extended season of blooms. The flowers have large, pollen-covered anthers that attract bees and butterflies to the garden, but they are also excellent cut flowers and make stunning additions to floral arrangements. When cutting flowers, leave as much stem and foliage in place as possible, leaving at least 2/3 of the stem with leaves to renew the bulb for next year's growth and flowering.

Lilium asiatic species, commonly called Asiatic lilies, the lilies in this mix are bulbous perennials with an upright habit. In optimal conditions, they naturalize, returning to grace garden beds and borders year after year. They are a must-have for a cutting garden but also grow well in pots and containers.

Plant Asiatic lily bulbs 6 to 8 inches apart and 6 to 8 inches deep. Asiatic lilies like to have their heads in a sunny spot with at least 6 to 8 hours of sun each day but like their roots shaded. They prefer cool soils with good drainage and a slightly acidic pH. With a good winter mulch to protect them until spring, Asiatic lilies are winter hardy to Zone 3. Feed Asiatic lilies with Espoma Organic® Bulb-tone® Bulb and Flower Food in spring as growth begins. Allow foliage to die back naturally before removing. Asiatic lilies are deer resistant and rodent resistant.
