Buzz Rickson’s reproduction follows the original military specifications with uncompromising attention to material choice and construction, staying true to both function and historical accuracy.

The outer shell is made from supple seal-brown horsehide, chosen for its durability, flexibility, and natural resistance to cold. Inside, a full wool knit lining provides insulation without bulk. The long, tube-knitted wool cuffs seal in warmth and are reinforced with triangular leather patches on the palm side to prevent stretching during wear. Three pin-tuck seams across the back of the hand control leather tension and help maintain a precise fit over time.

Stitching around all five fingers is executed using advanced sewing techniques, reflecting the labor-intensive craftsmanship required for this original flight glove design.
