Paris–Roubaix is a one-day professional bicycle road race in northern France near the Belgian frontier. From its beginning in 1896 until 1967 it started in Paris and ended in Roubaix. Famous for rough terrain and cobblestones and has been called the Hell of the North. This circa 1910 poster for RAD, presumably the race's sponsor, underlines the fact that the company's bicycles take part in the race. A great design features a beautiful view along the cobblestoned road with ancient ruins in the back ground. A large sun sets sets in the evening giving off intense yellow and orange. The circa 1910 race uniforms are a true throwback to the sport's early history.
