PA-1QB 10-Band Equalizer for Bass

The Free The Tone PA-1QB for bass is an epoch-making device produced by pursuing integration of digital and analog technologies cultivated through the development of the AMBI SPACE and TRI AVATAR.

At first glance the PA-1QB looks like a digital equalizer effects unit but it is an “analog equalizer.” Including I/O sections, its equalizer circuits through which the guitar/bass signals pass are all fully analog and contour the rich tones of your bass as analog signals. This is the same signal processing method you will find in graphic equalizers with conventional slider volume controls. The PA-1QB is an analog effects unit, but its parameter control section is a digital circuit that can precisely store and process the status of various parameters in the digital domain. This enables real-time parameter control via presets and MIDI.

After more than ten years of development from its conception and repeated trial and error processes, Free The Tone has finally completed its innovative product the PA-1QB.

The PA-1QB is an effects unit that fuses rich analog sound with the ease and versatility of a digital control device while maintaining a high level of sound quality. Experience its state-of-the-art sound and operability for yourself!

Features:

• All of the equalizer circuits (including I/O sections) that pass instrument signals are fully analog and the parameter control section is a digital circuit. This allows for real-time control via preset recalling and MIDI.
• The HTS (Holistic Tonal Solution) circuit which is one of the major features of the Free The Tone products has been renewed with this product release. It holistically manages high-quality bass signals from input to output to keep the sound texture the same whether the effect is on or off.
• The 10-band equalizer’s frequencies are selected specially for bass and the frequencies and equalizer curves are optimized for each instrument to allow more useful and minute adjustments.
• Any of 99 presets can be recalled instantly by control via MIDI signals.
• The PA-1QB can be used not only as an equalizer effects unit but also as a preset volume controller that manages sound level in each preset. It is equally suitable to applications to increase the volume of solo playing or to level out individual differences in output levels when switching between multiple guitars/basses.
• Number of presets: 99
• Input impedance: INST min. 1M ohm / LINE min. 300 k ohm
• Output load impedance: min. 10k ohm
• Max. input level: INST +4 dBm / LINE +14 dBm (EQ setting = flat)
• Controls: cursor keys, PARAMETER encoder, INST(-10dB)/LINE(+4dB) level selector switch
• Frequencies: 40 Hz, 80 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 800 Hz, 1200 Hz, 2400 Hz, 4500 Hz, 8 kHz (±12 dB)
• Terminals: 1/4" standard phone jack x 2 (input and output) DC9V input jack (for AC adapter), DIN 5-pin connector x 2 (MIDI IN and OUT/THRU)
• Power supply: Dedicated DC9V AC adapter

Eye Opening!! A great perspective of what is happening in some neurodivergent brain,
Format: Audiobook
What a fantastic book! It gives insight into how neurodivergent people experience the world. I have always heard the phrase "All behavior is communication." I recently listened to an add-on to that phrase: "Distressed behavior communicates a person's distress." I couldn't help but think about this phrase as I read this story. The fatigue of masking is a significant challenge; pretending to be someone you are not is a constant struggle. As a neurodivergent teacher who teaches neurodivergent kids, this story touched my heart, and I highly recommend it to anyone who will listen.

Great book!
Format: Hardcover
I loved the book. It’s a quick read as the novel is written beautifully through poetry. The main character is easy to love and root for. As a teacher who is always advocating for neurodivergent kids, I am often helping parents see the strengths and needs for their child. I love that a book exists where kids can go “That’s me!” and learn to love who they were created to be and find tools that help make the world easier to cope with. The author even gives suggestions and resources in the back of the book. This novel is timely as we are starting to have a greater understanding of the spectrum of Autism. Grandparents and parents are beginning to understand themselves through the diagnosis of their kids/grandkids or even nieces/nephews. Knowing yourself is a powerful thing as Selah (the main character) teaches us.

the BEST BOOK EVER to learn what autism feels like
Format: Hardcover
I have read just about every book ever written (in English) related to autism -- well over 700 of them. This is the best book that communicates what autism feels like, and our life experiences. I'm decades older than the audience the book is intended for; but EVERYONE should read this book to understand we who are different. It also points out several well-known facts: autism has some heredity trails, having just one trusted adult who treats the different child like they are valuable is key to that child being able to cope with the world around them. What surprised me was when an educator with over 25 years of experience in special ed, just did not think the book was that good. That convinced me of the book's unique value: it truly puts the reader in the body and mind of the different child. Some educators cannot do that. The story focuses upon a female -- so not sure how applicable it is to a male different child. I hope some others would test that out. The BEST BOOK EVER to understand what autism feels like. I know as I have been on the autism spectrum since before there was an autism spectrum.

Fantastic read
Format: Hardcover
Read as part of upper elementary book club with 4th and 5th graders. Told entirely in prose from the point of view of a 7th grade girl struggling with changing social dynamics and self-identity, we see Selah learn to advocate for herself amidst family and school challenges. This book made me laugh and cry, but more than anything, it made me cheer Selah on as she discovers what autism means for her.
