This is a vintage 1950s era dressing gown or lounging robe featuring a woven brocade pattern consisting of abstract leaves in silver and brown against bronze brown background, very 50s era. Material: No content label, but fabric appears to be rayon
Sizing: Size OS for oversized is indicated, but this is a vintage sizing. It should fit a large to extra large size, size 46 or larger - please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 20” across seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 26” long
Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/2” long
Chest: 45” around, taken under the arms, depending on overlap
Waist: Meant to be cinched with the sash belt
Overall length: 50"
Condition:
This robe is in very good condition with the exception of a couple of very light small spots on the lapels that I’m sure will come out with a dry cleaning, very minor in any case. In addition, the ends of the sash appear to have gotten wet so they are wrinkled looking - again, a professional dry cleaning and pressing should take of this. Otherwise, this robe is very clean and crisp, it looks like it saw little, if any, use.
This is a gorgeous vintage dressing gown with a very striking color and pattern....sure to be noticed!
