Victoria cruziana Giant Water Lily

*Advanced Waterlily Growers! <br> Will ship late May into June
The Victoria cruziana Water Lily is one of the most exciting and dramatic aquatic plants in the world. Known as the easiest of the Victoria species to grow, it is still not recommended for beginners—it demands careful attention to soil, fertilizer, water, warmth, and handling. With proper care, this giant tropical water lily produces enormous pads (7–14+ inches when shipped, expanding much larger through the season) and magnificent flowers that open in the evening, transforming your pond into a showpiece.

Native to South America, Victoria cruziana is a plant for the dedicated water gardener. Growing it successfully is an unforgettable experience—but it requires space, patience, and precision.

🌱 Planting & Care Instructions

  • Victoria cruziana Water Lily Container Size: Start with a 5–10 gallon fabric pot, though a 25–100 gallon container is recommended for specimen size

  • Victoria cruziana Water Lily Spread: Pads may eventually span 10–15 feet or more under proper culture

  • Soil: Heavy loam soil only—never stones, aquatic media, or bagged soils with compost

  • Victoria cruziana Water Lily Depth: 6–14 inches of water above the soil line is optimal for juveniles; can be lowered slightly once established

  • Fertilizing the Victoria cruziana Water Lily:

    • Begin with 4–5 Waterlily World Fertilizer Tablets per week (placed 6 inches away from the crown) for the first 3–4 weeks

    • Increase steadily as plant size grows—watch pad size as your indicator: if a new pad is smaller than the previous one, the plant is underfed.

    • Do not overfertilize—excess can kill Victoria water lilies

  • Temperature for Victoria cruziana Water Lily: Requires 80°F+ at the root zone

  • Sunlight for Victoria cruziana Water Lily: Full direct sun, all day

  • Fragrance: Large flowers are lightly fragrant and change color over their short bloom cycle.

📦 Shipping Information

  • Ships only May 20 – July 15 each year (depending on conditions)

  • Always shipped with pads sized 7–14 inches across

  • Ships separately from most other pond plants (similar to lotus)

  • If you want other pond plants earlier, place separate orders—otherwise, your order will be held until late May or June when Victoria is ready to ship

⚠️ How to Ruin / Kill a Victoria (What Not to Do)

❌ Use algaecides with copper – even small amounts will kill Victoria lilies
❌ Place in cool water – root temps under 80°F will cause failure
❌ Never break the smallest and newest emerging pad at the crown – this prevents new pads from forming and the plant will die in days
❌ Overfertilize or underfertilize – both will quickly stress or kill the plant
❌ Handle carelessly – the roots, pads, and stems are covered with sharp thorns

💡 PondMegastore Tip: Become a skilled grower of tropical water lilies before attempting Victoria. With proper care, patience, and space, Victoria cruziana will reward you with one of the most breathtaking aquatic plant experiences on Earth.

Not a bad start

3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.

Great start
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! It's funny but still deals with tough themes, like chronic illness, a serial killer on the loose, and a dash of self-harm. The guys are interesting and distinct, we don't know too much about them yet. It does end on a really terrible cliffhanger but on the bright side the next book is out and I believe the series is complete. I have enjoyed both of these authors separately and this is a great team up!

Fudge!
Format: Kindle
Titles aren’t my strong suit. Sorry not sorry. That ending has me completely frustrated book two isn’t out yet. Just throwing that out there. First thing first, this is a high school book where the lead is under 18. Yea yea she’s about month from being an adult, but I can’t say I would’ve even opened the file if I’d realized. It’s not a smut fest or anything, but there is sexual tension as each party figures out their emotions. That being said, it’s a good book. There are some troubling parts, like how the supes come into their powers at 13, but most of those are dealt with in a way that makes sense. Kian is the exception. His whole arc pisses me off, especially since no one stepped in. Reflecting back on real world situations, ten or so years ago, I can see it happening, but it still makes me sick. Which, I’m sure was the whole damn point. For the most part, Courting Darkness is a fun read. I found myself laughing along with most of the set up. By the time it started getting serious, I’d grown to like the characters enough it held an impact. I’ll be adding book two to my list for when it comes out.

Intriguing

An intriguing story that played out slowly while introducing some unique characters. The story became quite fascinating to read as these same characters provided startling revelations to their lives. As their relationships evolve, more drama and mystery is revealed adding to my fascination. I can’t wait to read more.

Outstanding Story!!!!!!!
Format: Kindle
Oh I loved this story. Sera is such an amazing, fun character. She has so much fire inside of herself. She has humor that makes you laugh with her sassy comments. The guys are fantastic. I don’t feel as if we really have gotten to know who and what they are but they are such a mix of fae. The story is extremely well written and developed. It had me pulled in and didn’t let go. There was so much action, drama, and suspense. Then we get to the ending and goodness there is so much going on. This ending was a major cliffhanger and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next.
