Inside, we have a high quality PCB which only confirms the great care that our Greek friends take in the manufacture of these pretty colorful pedals: Photocells, NOS 2SC828 transistors, premium capas, internal 15VDC etc… what to deliver everything you would expect from a vintage Vibe. Connected to a clear sound, we immediately note that the RetroVibe clearly has a sound signature of its own. Indeed, the natural compression that follows the curve of the effect and its “wacky” side cannot be found elsewhere! The effect is warm, organic, fairly low mids, with this typical analog side halfway between the "lush" of the chorus and this myriad of slight artefacts which gives it a little dirty side. This defines the intrinsic personality of the effect. By switching it to a light drive, we obtain the quintessence of the sounds of the genre. 60-70's here we come! Hendrix, Gilmour, we can play everything with the RetroVibe, all while having an authenticity that few Vibe(s) on the market have.
The Vibrato mode is also a model of its kind. The curve of the effect is soft and progressive with a slight detune which magnifies the effect.
