There's a reason that the Tube Screamer is THE classic overdrive pedal that all others are judged upon. They boost midrange and tighten bass frequencies, so your guitar always sits perfectly in a band mix. It works great with a clean or dirty amp, either as a boost, a warm overdrive, or a dirty overdrive. But the TS9DX does even more.

Here's a rundown of the controls:
